Lövsta Future Challenge Launches Initiative with AGDF to Support Friends of Palm Beach Charity

Wellington, FL – February 9, 2020 – One of the major sponsors of the 2020 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) has announced the launch of a new charitable initiative to benefit the local charity, Friends of Palm Beach. Lövsta started their Lövsta Future Challenge Series at the 2020 AGDF and is proud to support the charity and its mission by donating money for every ride in the series throughout the circuit.

Lövsta Future Challenge has become a renowned concept in the Swedish equestrian world, as the leading effort in supporting and growing the best young horses and U25 riders in both dressage and jumping. Their stated mission is to help bring Sweden to the forefront of equestrian sport, and to become a role model for other aspiring equestrian nations.

Early on, Lövsta Future Challenge also decided to focus on other aspects of competition development, including the environment, sustainability, and a deeper respect for horses through their philosophy of horsemanship. The talent tour is about searching for knowledge and reaching for perfection, embracing the joy of partnership between the horse and rider, and leaving a sustainable footprint within the equestrian sport.

Now, Lövsta Future Challenge has come to the U.S. With a common vision highlighting the importance of providing young Grand Prix dressage horses with the best possible conditions to develop on their way to the highest levels of international sport, Lövsta Future Challenge, in collaboration with AGDF, has organized a developmental series for young Grand Prix horses. With this initiative, they have added a special “green” project to the series’ contribution.

“For us at Lövsta sustainability has been a strong driving force,” said owner Antonia Ax:son Johnson. “Our slogan is ‘Save the earth. It’s the only planet with horses.’ To underline our commitment, we have decided to support the charitable organization Friends of Palm Beach with $100 for every entry in the Lövsta Future Challenge this season. This fine group of people clean the Palm Beach beaches from trash to support the beautiful creatures of the sea and keep our beaches clean and environmentally safe. The beauty of our ocean and the beauty of our horses align. Come and join us in our crusade!”

Friends of Palm Beach is a 501(c)3 organization that cleans the beaches of Palm Beach regularly to remove incoming plastics, trash, and unnatural debris and to educate the community on the effects of this on our environment and marine life. They partner with other non-profit job placement programs to help end the cycle of homelessness while also helping to end the cycle of trash in our ocean.

Diane Buhler of Friends of Palm Beach stated,

“We love that Lövsta Future Challenge has chosen to make an impact for our environment in Florida during their time spent here in the winter. We are all inhabitants of the same, one beautiful planet and collaboration is key in making change happen, whether it is locally, nationally, or internationally. We so appreciate the financial support. Our program hires through local agencies that serve the underprivileged and we give them jobs to help them get back to independence. The support truly helps!”
