Vision

Lövsta Future Challenge has become a renowned concept in the Swedish equestrian world, as the leading effort in supporting and growing the best young horses and U25 riders in both dressage and jumping. Our stated mission is to help bring Sweden to the forefront of equestrian sport, and to become a role model for other aspiring equestrian nations.

Since the start, we have given both U25 riders and young horses the ultimate opportunities and conditions to develop to their full potential as top international athletes. In cooperation with Sweden’s best show organizers, we have arranged a series of national shows with several qualifying competitions in different parts of the country, and finals at the Gothenburg Horse Show and Sweden International Horse Show.

As we developed Lövsta Future Challenge, it became evident that success not only strengthens the horses and riders, but also the wonderful teams at their side: grooms, sponsors, trainers, breeders and horse owners. Over the years we have focused on the entirety of the teams by inviting all into our plans and discussions, which has been very appreciated.

Early on, we also decided to focus on other aspects of competition development including the environment, sustainability, and a deeper respect for horses through our philosophy of horsemanship. We share our beliefs and commitment in various forums and seminars in which we invite riders and their trainers from both dressage and jumping. Lövsta Future Challenge is about searching for knowledge and reaching for perfection, embracing the joy of partnership between the horse and rider, and leaving a sustainable footprint within the equestrian sport.

On a few occasions Lövsta Future Challenge goes international, and we invite the top FEI ranked U25 riders to competitions that we arrange with some of the world’s best equestrian events. Now we have decided to take the Challenge to the US. With a common vision highlighting the importance of providing young dressage horses with the best possible conditions to develop on their way to the highest levels of international sport; Lövsta Future Challenge, in collaboration with AGDF, is organizing a developmental tour for young Grand Prix horses. The tour will host eight national qualifiers that will award winners every week, and conclude during AGDF week 12 with a final in the International Arena. Our hope is that this initiative will give the horses the opportunity to gain valuable routine and experience.
